Dreamspell was published by José Argüelles in 1990 as a thirteen moon calendar with a 260 day count of its own. It uses twenty seals and thirteen tones and produces a name: White Rhythmic Wizard, Yellow Spectral Seed, a colour and a tone and a seal together. Around each signature sit its wavespell, guide, analog, antipode and occult, a small set of relationships that give the day a cast of characters.
It is not the traditional Tzolkin, and the app keeps them apart because the difference is real. Dreamspell is anchored to the Gregorian year and skips 29 February, so its count and the count kept in the Guatemalan highlands drift from one another.
